I missed SXSW this year and I regret it. I fully intend to be there next year, though.

By the way? I am in love with the typography and texture on your site.

Samantha, thanks for featuring my sketchnotes on your SXSWi wrapup post! I'm very honored.

I agree with your points here as well. We had a crew from Milwaukee come down and we had a great time hanging out and getting to know each other better, as well as meeting new friends.

Reflecting on my 2nd SXSWi, I think while I love the panels, the real lasting impact of the festival are the connections and relationships that seem to grow rather than fade with time.

Thanks again for your contribution to the typography panel especially. I enjoyed learning more about web typography as I sketchnoted that panel (and the house was packed too!).

<blockquote>"This year I didn’t just feel like I left with new networking connections, I felt like I left with friends."</blockquote>

Samantha, I really couldn't agree more with that statement. Hanging out with you, Jim, Ian, Matthew, Erin, Jon, and everybody else was just fantastic, and it's the new friendships that really made SXSW awesome for me. Thank you so much for making it all happen!

Also, well done for beating me to it: I have a very similar post to this saved in my drafts... ;)
