The design is very appealing. However, I can also fully relate to wanting change. As designers, we learn new techniques, are inspired by others, or simply strive for perfection. My only feedback is this: the text in your blog posts appears slightly too light for my eyes - no, I don't wear glasses. :) Keep up the good work! If you have things to say and the design is holding you back I say just go with no design. Use the default html5 boilerplate or something as the only styles. Black text on white background. Totally get it though if it's no longer feeling like you. I started blogging regularly but don't do it as often as I'd like because I'm a new web designer and my inner critic makes me feel like I haven't yet earned the right to blog and share my ideas. I found this site through styletile.es and have been finding those ideas really helpful. It is somewhat what I've been doing naturally with current clients, and it feels like a more grounded and collaborative way to work. Thanks for sharing your ideas!
